"I first worked with Kyle during a ChampCar race at Road America in October of 2020. I found him very easy to talk to and get along with, which being an extremely shy person doesn't happen often when meeting someone for the first time. During the course of the weekend, Kyle was extremely helpful with helping me learn a new track, and with figuring out how to drive a car I had never been in. This was also my very first wheel to wheel racing experience, so having him on the radio while I was on track was a big key in keeping me calm during tense moments.
I had a second opportunity to work with Kyle in the spring of 2021, while prepping for an endurance race at Watkins Glen, another track I've never driven. We had several coaching sessions using iRacing in the weeks leading up to the race, and I improved dramatically with Kyle's help. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, the team had to withdraw at the last minute, but I had gone from being a little intimidated at the prospect of racing The Glen, to actually looking forward to attacking the legendary track after Kyle's virtual coaching.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kyle's expertise to any of my friends who may need a little coaching to help find that extra tenth. Personally, I can't wait for another opportunity to have him as a coach or teammate. "
"Now from a different perspective, I mentioned that I became part of Kyle’s team. I am one of Kyle’s spotters at the race track, so I have to keep him in line and handle his "Vickernism Style of Driving". All jokes aside, it has been fun to work with a driver who respects his peers and ensures that everyone on his team are happy, feel they are part of the team, and that no one is left out.
Even though he does drive like Brian Vickers, it is fun to work with him as he does not belittle me if I mess up or make me feel awful during competition. He takes those moments to teach me how to improve and I value someone who takes the time like that. I cannot wait for 2023 and all opportunities ahead of my driver!"
